Professor Julie Green is an experienced nurse and educationalist with over 30 years of experience. Julie is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Fellow of the Queen’s Nursing Institute, and the Royal College of Nursing. A member of the Steering Group and previous Chair of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) District and Community Nursing Forum, Julie was formerly an elected member of the RCN Professional Nursing Committee, Deputy Chief Nurse for the Birmingham Diocese Nursing Team, Associate Non-Executive Director for Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust and a member of the Association of District Nurse Educators.
Julie has held several senior roles within Keele University and was appointed as Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery in April 2021, having previously served as Dean of Education for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Julie is an enthusiastic practitioner - keen to support and mentor future health care professionals to optimise patient care.
